Hi all,

the launch’s week is planned in the third week of September after the Royal Adelaide Show.

1) We are planning to launch in the weekend
2) We would like to have one student from each school on the launch site at least. A teacher or a parent will have to be present. Everyone is welcome.
3) It will be possible to see the launch in video streaming on our website
4) We were thinking to bring some students in the cars to retrieve the satellites but there is a lot of logistic involved. All our team and Horus will have to have a police check. In addition the retrieving journey might be very long (4 hours), maybe too long for the students. For them it would be more exciting to participate at the launch.

Let us know your ideas and inputs!!

Hi Flavia,

Is it necessary for the teams to have checks if the students are in a teacher or parent car. Or is it a problem to have too many cars on the road. We have a Spot tracker of our own and would be keen to use it if there would not be interference. My experience with two Spots together has not produced a problem.

There is not a problem to have too many cars on the road as long as there are 4W and can get off the road!! Our team will be in the Horus project cars, if some teachers and/or parent woudl like to bring their won car and follow the balloon, it can be done. A spot tracker would be good!
